Damaris has over twenty years of experience working in the field of cosmetic dermatology. It would be an understatement to say that skin is her favorite organ. Over the years, she has collaborated with leading dermatologists thus developing a deep understanding of skincare, different dermatological treatments, and patient care. Her role has involved assisting with an array of medical, surgical and cosmetic procedures, patient consultations, and skincare regimen development, to name a few.
Throughout this time, Damaris has gained valuable insight from multiple dermatologists treating various skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, as well as cosmetic procedures like laser treatments, injectables, chemical peels, and anti-aging solutions. Damaris is committed to staying up to date in the latest advancements to ensure that her patients would receive the best possible care.
Unfortunately, at the age of 39, Damaris was diagnosed with stage III Colon and that six-letter ugly word that starts with c and ends with r, that’s not worth naming. Her diagnosis came as a shock, but she faced it with determination. She underwent surgery followed by months of chemotherapy. However, that did not stop her, and she immediately went back to work.
Two years later, to her surprise, ‘c’ returned aggressively as stage IV metastatic. She prepares herself once again for surgery, drawing on her faith, deep inner strength and the resilience she had built over years of courage. She faced this new chapter with the same grace and determination that had carried her through before, ready to meet the journey ahead. At this time, she discontinued her chemotherapy treatments post-surgery and chose healthy eating and food to be her medicine. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Damaris remained positive and focused on her recovery.
